Stock takes are used to monitor and check your physical stock levels.
By physically counting your stock items and comparing them to the theoretical levels you are able to keep track of shortages due to breakages and theft.
You are able to enter your actual stock levels into the system using this module with ease.You can select whether you wish the Stock Take to use current levels or the stock level as at a particular date. You also have the option of pulling into the stock take batch all the Stock Items for the warehouse, or you can selectively bring in stock items that you require.
Once you have got the stock items that you want to check in the batch you can print Stock Take Sheets to assist you with the counting and entering of the actual levels. Once you have physically counted the stock items, you enter the actual figures into the batch. You can edit the figures and save the batch numerous times without affecting the levels in the system.
Once you have entered all your levels print the Stock Take Variance Report, which will assist you to see where your variances lie and the cost implications of these variances.
To update the levels in Omni Accounts you must select the Update the Levels from Stock Take option. This will then update the levels either for the current period or as at the date you selected. Marking the batch as a recurring batch will allow you to re-use the same batch many times. You can also import your stock take levels into a stock take batch from a CSV or ASCII text file.
