Link a Customer Quote. Pull raw materials required in from a Bill of Materials or enter manually. As the stock is used it is allocated to the Job. Labour and outwork can also be allocated. On completion invoice the Quote and measure the profitability of the Job.
An example is a Plumbing business. Here quotes may be issued for some Jobs but other Jobs are invoiced out just on labour and parts used. Omni handles both scenarios simply and easily with different invoicing methods.
Use of Jobs to control production. Select a stock item and quantity to manufacture. A BOM linked to the stock item can be used to add all the raw materials required. The stock levels will reflect the stock required to process the Job allowing Purchase Orders to be raised.
A start and end date can be set for the Job. The actual stock and labour quantities used are captured and once the Job is completed, the manufactured item is moved into stock. The cost of manufacturing can be monitored.
Create a Job per project. Capture employee timesheets against Jobs. Allocate outsourcing or other costs to Jobs. Each job provides an accurate cost for each project.
